How to Get Here

Churchill is part of the sub-artic in Northern Manitoba. There are basically two transportation options between Winnipeg, Manitoba (capital city) and Churchill, Manitoba.

Option#1

Our Lazy Bear Lodge adventure packages have the option of roundtrip airfare from Winnipeg to Churchill and return. This flight is usually about 2.5-3 hours in length. The flight includes a snack and beverage. When you book an adventure package (including the airfare option) with Lazy Bear Lodge, we will book your airline reservation for you. These flights are provided by Calm Air. Calm Air has been Manitoba owned and operated for more than 40 years. When your entire stay is with Lazy Bear Lodge,we will provide free shuttle service upon arrival/departure from the Churchill airport.

Option#2

VIA Rail also provides the train from Winnipeg to Churchill. The trip length can range from 30-48 hours one way. You get to travel through beautiful north central Manitoba, into part of Northern Saskatchewan, then returning back to Thompson, Manitoba and off to Churchill. There is a cafe car on the train for meals, which are extra. For more information or to book your train reservation, you can contact VIA Rail directly at 1-888-842-7245. When your entire stay is with Lazy Bear Lodge, we will provide free shuttle service upon arrival/departure at the Churchill train station.
