Polar Bear Jail
Enlarge Image (+)One way the citizens of Churchill care for their polar bear friends is to actually put them in "jail." When someone spots a polar bear too close to town, they call a special phone number, and the bear is humanely trapped and placed in the Polar Bear Jail until it can be safely transported back to the wild. You'll see the jail firsthand and learn about its amazing history as part of the tour.
