Lazy Bear Expeditions is coming close to 30 years of operation. As we have seen the need, we have innovated and built, as Manitobans, one of the best kept secrets of the Canadian arctic: Churchill, Manitoba.

Rich in unique wildlife and natural wonders like the Aurora Borealis, Churchill is one of the top tourism destinations in Canada. As we build on this reputation, we here at Lazy Bear Expedition continue to innovate and create incredible opportunities to see our local wildlife, including—but not limited to—beluga whales, polar bears, bearded seals and so much more.

In an effort to provide ‘next-level’ adventures for our guests, we are extremely proud to announce the arrival of the Matonabee—a 70-foot catamaran touring cruise vessel. Featuring large, comfortable seats, large windows, spacious viewing decks, a fully serviced galley complete with espresso machine, and having the unique ability to deploy rigid inflatable boats (zodiacs) for both exploration and viewing expeditions into remote areas of Hudson Bay, the Matonabee is poised to lead.
