Terms & Conditions

Travel Information
Adventure dates are subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control.

Due to roads, weather, tide, airline schedules and outside forces that we are unable to control clients should be prepared for changes on the go by your tour leader and/or tour director because of weather, tides, and weather predictions sometimes days away. Itineraries are intended as examples only. Clients must be prepared to be flexible; schedules may vary depending on conditions at the time or predicted by weather and marine basin forecasts. While we make every attempt to perform each tour on our itinerary we are not responsible if cancellations are necessary. We reserve the right to decline or accept any person as a member of the tour and failure to comply with rules and trip safety considerations may cause Lazy Bear Expeditions to extricate any client who fails to show due diligence or conform to the spirit of the tour in progress. Additional expenses, if any, shall be borne by the participant(s).

Reservations
To reserve your wildlife adventure, please call us at 1-866-OUR-BEAR (1-866-687-2327) to check availability for the dates you are interested in. We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, Wire Transfers and Canadian money orders. Many of these trips fill up six to twelve months in advance. We suggest you reserve your space early.

Single Supplement
A single supplement fee covers the loss of income by the lodge when one single person occupies a room. That person pays a premium as room availability is limited during our operating seasons.

Cancellation Policy
All payments are non-refundable. A change fee of $600.00 plus 5% GST per person will apply if a reservation needs to be changed to another tour date within the same year based on availability.

Note – No refund will be issued for cancellation of tour(s) due to safety or weather conditions.

Note - Travel by air & train – Lazy Bear Lodge Ltd. is not responsible for, and will not provide refunds in the case that any/all of your adventure/s are missed due to changes/cancellations in your air or train service.

Tour Guidelines
Failure to comply with rules and trip safety considerations may cause Lazy Bear Expeditions to extricate any client who fails to show due diligence or conform to the spirit of the tour in progress.

Insurance
We strongly recommend trip cancellation/medical evacuation insurance. Because many advance logistical arrangements have been made prior to the operation of these trips, we must adhere to the above cancellation policy. In addition, you should be aware that some medical insurance policies do not cover your expenses, including medical evacuation, while traveling in a foreign country. Lazy Bear Expeditions will not be held responsible for missed connections, incorrect check in times, improper documentation, lost, stolen or damaged luggage. Any additional expenses caused by late or cancelled transportation carriers will be borne by the traveller.

Churchill is a remote community with limited facilities including a major hospital. In light of that fact, please ensure that you take the necessary precautions with regards to your insurance.
