3 Hours

Adventure Overview

This adventure immerses you in the natural habitat of thousands of beluga whales and puts you right where the action is! Gliding over the surface of the water on a floating mat provides an outstanding opportunity to be approached by any of the thousands of curious and friendly whales for a truly unforgettable experience.

When participating in Beluga AquaGliding™, your floating mat will be tethered to a zodiac while in the Churchill River or Hudson Bay. Guests will lie flat and be able to watch the belugas approach. It is perfect for picture taking and experiencing the belugas up close and personal.

On this approximately 3-hour expedition (inclusive of transfers), guests are provided wet suits. We provide all equipment including neoprene boots, gloves and lifejackets. It is best that clothing be close fitting under the wet suits. Many people choose to wear bathing suits or thermal clothing.

$235 per person, plus applicable tax

What To Bring and What Not To

Luggage needs to be under 50 lbs
Charging cords for laptops, cell phones, tablets.
Warm boots with thick insulation and good grip, such as Sorel and Kamik, are a must.
Gloves should have ample insulation. Gloves may look like ski gloves and should have an upper extension to cover your wrist as well as your hands.
We highly recommend a pair of ski or wind pants to keep heat around your torso and lower body. A jacket alone will not do this.
Long underwear, snug but comfortable fitting outerwear, and a fleece jacket or sweater. Outer clothing should consist of a windproof material, with an attached hood or very warm hat.
We also recommend bringing along a small carry-on bag with your absolute necessities just in case your luggage makes it to Churchill after you do
Spare batteries for each camera type you bring
It is wise to bring a good bug spray that contains DEET as a main ingredient
A good shade hat, sun glasses, binoculars, camera
Thermal under clothing, a toque (a close fitting hat covering your ears), mittens or gloves for the boat tours
Hiking shoes or runners
A wind breaker/sweatshirt/fall jacket for possible cool days, waterproof jacket and pants
Loose fitting clothing, long socks, closed-toed shoes and a long-sleeved shirt and pants for cooler days or bug days
T-shirts and shorts for the summer weather days
